As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Center HVAC Technician to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.

Data Center HVAC Technician:

The Data Center HVAC Technician will provide the building maintenance services including on-site electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs of non-critical aspects of the Facility's buildings and grounds, as directed. By way of example, these maintenance services could include such services as:

Schedule: 7am - 3:30pm PST

Responsibilities:

General HVAC Maintenance

Inspect physical and mechanical condition of HVAC equipment

Inspect for cleanliness and housekeeping

Filter inspection/replacement

Inspect all belts and pulleys

Visual inspection:

condenser coils

evaporator coils

General area cleanup

Touchup painting

Tool inventory

Door repair

Mounting of signage

Minor electrical tasks

Minor plumbing tasks

Basic minor carpentry tasks

Specific or immediate industrial cleaning tasks, as needed

Light-duty mechanical tasks

Hanging of wall art and shelving

Dismantling and installation of furniture and cabinets

Setting up and taking down tables and chairs for special meetings or events

Snow removal during winter season.

Setting up and taking down tables and chairs for special meetings or events

Landscaping and clean up

Carpet cleaning and/or replacement

Other tasks and special projects as designated

Vendor escorting

24x7 support of the control room

Perform rounds of all available spaces and report any abnormal conditions to the control room

Investigate alarms/events at the direction of the control room operator

Forklift and various lift operations

Qualifications:

3+ years of HVAC experience

Full use of sight, hearing and voice are required as well as full motor skills. This position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, and stoop, reach overhead and stand for long periods of time.

Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including: Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units and CRAC units.

Good observation skills and problem-solving ability.

Military experience would be an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.

Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment

Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks

Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly

Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.

Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors

Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses

Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables

Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow

Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection

Possession of a valid driver's license for work-related travel, as required

Preferred Qualification:
