As an Apprentice, an Electrician will receive two types of training: classroom education and on-the-jobA paid training. The person for this position must be flexible with work assignments/travel. Schedule is typically 7a-3:30p M-F.A Responsibilities and Duties Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipmentKeeps all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion and keeps the work area clean at all timesPerforming electrical construction tasks under supervisionAssists in wire pulls, mounting and strapping conduits and equipmentExpected to work on (1) man tasks during Apprenticeship after given instructionQualifications Current driver's licenseMust have reliable transportationHigh School Diploma or GED; high school transcriptMust pass pre-employment assessments which include:a Math/Reading and Professionalism and Mechanical Aptitude TestMust pass Urine Drug TestMust have your own hand toolsMust Have A Clean Criminal Background Checks (Act 34, Act 114, Act 151)Physical Job Functions Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach over headLifts 51 poundsClimbs ladders (all types)Can complete overhead work for full day assignmentsPossesses good vision (normal or corrected)Skills Must possess basic math, reading, and writing skillsMust possess a mechanical aptitudeMust possess good hand/eye coordinationMust possess manual dexterityMust demonstrate initiative and creativityMust be a team playerMust adhere to ALL Safety standards set forth by the companyTraining Requirements On-The-Job Training: Must complete a total of 4 years - 8,000 hours/2,000 each year of on-the-job training in each year of ApprenticeshipClassroom Training: Must attend 180 hours of classroom instruction in each year of Apprenticeship training/for 4-years, and maintain a minimum of passing grade of 75%If a recent tech school graduate, may be permitted to "test out" of the first year.OSHA-10 CertificationCPR/First Aide CertificationBenefitsA Excellent Health PlanDental & Vision Plan401-K PlanPaid VacationPaid Holidays
