Mechanical Engineer (Factory Layout)

This engineer will be a part of the team responsible for the development of tooling used to manufacture, quality, install, hoist and transports modules inside and outside a cleanroom. This individual will be responsible for the development of critical layouts and configuration of next generation technology systems and the cleanroom factories they reside. Some duties include:
- Designing cable runs, bolt patterns, overhead framing, pipe routes etc. for a 100 x 100 foot clean room bay.
- Writing requirements, designing, overseeing outsourced design, developing test plans, test execution, various forms of analysis, troubleshooting and implementing subassemblies and modules.
- Managing large, complex CAD models, facilities connection layouts, frame design, managing mass budgets, volume & service claims, particle control / cleanliness design, design for manufacturability, and design for serviceability
- Working to a defined schedule & budgets
- Developing resolutions to critical issues and broad design matters
- Conducting feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
- Building BOM (bill of materials) for the bay
Pay Rate - $60 - $65 p/hr

- Clean room experience
- Background in semiconductor or aerospace
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- 1+ year of experience doing factory layout/configuration
- 2+ years of design experience with proficiency in solid modelling using software's- such as Solidworks, Pro-E, or Catia. Siemens NX preferred
- Experience interfacing with a facilities department
