Electrical Engineer - Construction Project Engineer

Location: Boydton, VA

This Senior Electrical Engineer position will fulfil an on-site role at a Client datacentre campus supporting ongoing construction activities. This role will serve as a daily on-site presence to review progress and support quality design of multiple concurrent data center builds. The position will be responsible for monitoring progress for compliance with construction documents from initial stages through commissioning and work closely with the engineering, procurement, controls and construction teams.
Experience reviewing construction drawings, project specifications, and equipment submittals against construction activities to track progress and review potential issues. Experience with the design and operation of electrical systems, HVAC, power distribution systems, backup power systems, electrical power monitoring systems, the control diagrams, sequence of operation for the electrical controls systems, overall network architecture and communication protocols.

• Applicants must be able to work directly on W2.
• Minimum of 8 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience, or Master's degree and 3 years of experience.
• At least 5 years of experience specific to datacenter electrical engineering.
• Experience with reviewing construction drawings and project specifications.
• Experience with Bluebeam software.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, power distribution, backup power systems, and electrical power monitoring systems.

• Experience with Bluebeam software.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

• Serve as the on-site engineering representative throughout the construction process.
• Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards.
• Facilitate coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
• Review and support submittal reviews, RFI responses, and commissioning activities.
