- Move and reinstall museum artifacts before, during, and after construction over an approximate three-year duration.
- Prepare a Contract Procurement package (RFP) that includes plans, specifications, and reference appendices. Coordinate all aspects of the RFP with multiple stakeholders, ensuring all exhibits are properly referenced.
- Manage an existing construction contract for compliance with specifications, including schedule, budget, quality, submittals, and RFI.
- Issue change directives (PCN) and manage all parts of the change process, including issuing the change scope with references to the base contract, evaluating proposal technical merit, developing an independent cost estimate, and negotiating settlements.
- Manage site logistics and security access for secured facilities, ensuring contractors have proper permits for transport and crane operations. Coordinate delivery times with stakeholders and/or agencies.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to reconcile divergent priorities.
- 5-10+ years of experience in the construction industry or comparable industry.
- Experience with RFI's, submittals, and strong capabilities with subcontracts.
- Experience coordinating construction, shipping logistics, relocation, move management, or tenant office moves.
- Excellent communication skills and proven team player.
- Ability to interact effectively with owners, engineers, contractors, and government officials.
- Experience working with a General Contractor.
- Experience as an Owners Construction Management Representative.
- Engaging personality suitable for interaction with diverse stakeholders.
This role is located on-site at the Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC, with no option for remote work initially. However, once fully acclimated, remote work may be permitted as needed. This position offers the opportunity to work with a top-rated global AEC firm and participate in exciting projects within the museum facilities.
