The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $103,939 - $129,924
Job Summary:
The Supervisor to OSG Telecoms PMO group will be managing the telecoms project management office group, including assigning projects to project managers, supervising the management of the projects, reporting, establishing standards, adopting processes, implementing best practices in the business, leading procurement agreements, managing vendor relations, corporate compliance, ensuring appropriate project accounting for cost recovery, contractor onboarding, budget tracking and adjustments, and support of change management.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):
Supervise all members of the PMO team; provide oversite, coaching, and feedback, through regular communication and the annual performance appraisal process
Serve as designated point of contact to interface with Telecom leadership for all reports and updates required
Responsible for the successful execution of the programs and projects assigned to the Project Management Office team
Responsible for the overall direction of the contracted personnel and execution of the work within the Project Management Office team
Responsible for the effective implementation of procedures and guidelines to ensure successful project execution
Support projects from proposal to closeout with problem solving, standardized guidelines, project specific quality programs and procedures, staff development, quality and continuous improvement tools
Direct field quality and personnel administration and assuring proper implementation of project quality programs
Responsible for understanding, organizing, and structuring the work and personnel in a manner that will support the objectives of the organization
Serves as a mediator between executives and numerous staff members employed as part of their area
Plan, implement and execute specific organizations goals and policies
Monitor associated budgets, allocating project resources and motivating and managing the programs team members
Issue progress reports and ensuring deadlines are met in a timely and efficient fashion
Oversight of scheduling/cost controllers resource availability, dependencies and other activities
Meets Avangrid objectives by preparing Program Initiation and Program Management Plan, executing plan requirements, analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Achieve efficiencies by accepting responsibility and accountability for results, accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to the organization
Executive dashboarding for overall programs in the organization
Manage relationship with SHEQ, Environmental and Permitting and other ancillary groups in the company
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years of experience in an energy sector managerial role.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent education and experience
Change Management, PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification(s).
5 years' relevant experience
Knowledge and experience in general construction; experience in work in electrical stations, distribution and transmission lines or gas stations preferred
Knowledge and experience navigating the Procurement Process. Creation and management of IBuy sourcing requests experience is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI, SharePoint and Teams). Familiarity with other project support tools such as JIRA.
