On-site role in Deerfield Beach, Florida

Job Description

The Architectural Project Coordinator supports the planning, design, entitlement, and pre-construction processes for new The Learning Experience (TLE) centers nationwide. This role ensures design consistency with TLE's architectural standards while helping manage site-specific adaptations through close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.

This position plays a critical role in coordinating architectural reviews, managing prototype updates, and overseeing early-phase development activities-including building permits, municipal codes, and zoning compliance. The Architectural Project Coordinator is instrumental in maintaining quality, accuracy, and alignment throughout the pre-construction lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Plan Coordination

  • Review and coordinate site plans and schematic designs to ensure alignment with TLE brand standards, operational requirements, and applicable codes
  • Support the development and maintenance of TLE's prototype building designs by incorporating stakeholder input and jurisdictional feedback
  • Communicate design directives and changes to external architects and ensure timely incorporation into final construction documentation
  • Participate in internal design reviews and maintain records of all plan versions and feedback through document control systems

Entitlements & Municipal Coordination

  • Assist in overseeing all entitlement-related processes, including building permit applications, municipal code review, zoning compliance, and related jurisdictional approvals
  • Liaise with developers, consultants, architects, and municipal officials to facilitate timely submissions and approvals
  • Monitor potential code or permitting challenges and proactively support their resolution with internal and external stakeholders
  • Track entitlement milestones and maintain up-to-date reporting in company systems (e.g., Monday and internal drives)

Pre-Construction Support

  • Coordinate key pre-construction activities and timelines, ensuring accurate input and collaboration between design, development, operations, and construction teams
  • Maintain project documentation and timelines, identifying and communicating potential delays or inconsistencies early
  • Support stakeholder communication and ensure alignment between entitlement activities, prototype design adherence, and operational goals

Qualifications

  • BS or BArch in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in architectural coordination, development entitlements, or pre-construction planning
  • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and site plan drawings is essential; the ability to assess design quality, spatial layouts, and code compliance is critical to success in this role
  • Experience with AutoCAD LT or similar design software is highly preferred, particularly for reviewing and annotating plans and managing design iterations
  • Solid understanding of site planning, zoning codes, permitting processes, and municipal approvals
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools; experience with Bluebeam, Monday, or Procore is a plus
