Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plumber to join our maintenance and facilities team. This position involves the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of plumbing and mechanical systems in compliance with all applicable safety and building codes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and the ability to collaborate with contractors, engineers, and team members on various projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform skilled mechanical and plumbing work related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, fixtures, and mechanical infrastructure.
- Assemble, install, and maintain systems including pumps, valves, pressure regulators, drinking fountains, and heat exchangers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical/plumbing diagrams to determine work requirements.
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions and diagnose failures in plumbing and mechanical components.
- Install pipework using materials such as copper, PVC, steel, and cast iron.
- Utilize welding, soldering, threading, and other specialized tools and equipment as required.
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on plumbing and mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant plumbing, mechanical, and safety codes and regulations.
- Coordinate and collaborate with contractors, engineers, and maintenance staff on installations and repair projects.
- Accurately complete documentation including work orders, maintenance logs, and compliance reports.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day operations of facilities including maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage non-routine issues.
- Proficient in planning and allocating office space in alignment with organizational needs.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision while achieving operational objectives.
- Basic understanding of project planning, scheduling, and facility operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in facilities or operations management.
- Experience with budgeting and financial tracking for facilities projects and operations.
- Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, including maintenance and compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of contract and vendor management, including negotiating terms and monitoring deliverables.
- Proficiency in facility management software and tools (e.g., CMMS, AutoCAD, project management platforms).
- Experience with long-term facilities planning and strategic space allocation across multiple locations.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and environmental health and safety (EHS) standards.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or facilities-related certification (e.g., IFMA FMP, CFM, or BOMA RPA).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate large-scale construction or renovation projects.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
