Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate design-build and bid-build projects in Ames and Des Moines, Iowa. This long-term role involves collaboration with clients, design teams, and contractors to ensure project success, emphasizing a culture of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination and supervision of design-build and bid-build projects.
• Collaborate with clients, design teams, and contractors to drive project success.
• Build and maintain a jobsite culture of 'Safety First'.
• Ensure Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and jobsite logistics on a daily basis.
• Collect, review, and submit shop drawings, product data, and test reports.
• Build and update construction schedules and 'look ahead' schedules.
• Review estimates with the operations team to ensure logistical and site considerations are included.
• Review project budgets with project management on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Complete daily and weekly reports and maintain a photo journal of progress.

Essential Skills

• Experience with army corp projects and federal construction.
• Proficiency in MS Project.
• Strong relationships with subcontractors.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in construction management or supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in construction management preferred.
• Partnership approach to working with contractors, designers, and clients.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite and excellent computer skills.

Work Environment

This role requires travel after project completion with 90% per diem offered and mileage reimbursement available for non-local candidates. You will be working on-site in a collaborative environment, ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
