Painter - Part Time

Seeking a part time painter in our industrial shop! This person will be spraying motors, valves, drums, and other mechanical components with paint in the booth. Will primarily use a hand held spray gun however we do also use rattle can paint, epoxy, and primers. Role will be approximately 20-25 hours per week but could increase hours in the future with business needs. Flexible scheduling, day shift position. Shop operating hours are Monday - Friday from 6am - 5pm. - Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming - Mixing and applying paints, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment - Following safety protocols and regulations related to hazardous materials - Inspecting completed work to ensure quality and durability - Operating and maintaining painting tools and equipment - Complete forklift certification training to move large, heavy pieces - Assist with other areas as assigned. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** - Previous painting experience, ideally with a spray gun. - Strong attention to detail, ability to see if paint is running or not mixed correctly. - Hand and power tools. - Ability to stay on task and ask for help if there are obstacles. - Flexible to help out where they are needed in the shop. Could be kitting, packaging, assembly, moving parts via forklift. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
