Position Summary

Position Summary:

The Element Pleater Operator is responsible for preparing a component of material for production personnel by utilizing different measuring and hand tool devices. This is done by completing essential duties in a safe, efficient and timely manner. This position will advocate and support the Corporate Win Strategy.

Third Shift Hours (Work week starts Sunday Evening)

10:00 pm - 630 am (8-hour Regular Shift)

8:00 pm - 6:30 am (10-hour Shift with Overtime)

Starting Rate of Pay $17.50 per hour plus $1.00 Shift Premium

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Read and interpret instructions based off charts, diagrams, and specifications
  • Cut materials at proper and specified length
  • Organize all materials needed to produce the material
  • Performs set up and operations of machinery, epoxy dispensers, seamers, and slitters
  • Gauge and set machines to run efficiently by using different measuring devices such as calipers, dial indicators, etc.
  • Demonstrate the ability of quality assurance through checking materials before, during and after the work flow process
  • Support and guide material into machinery correctly, constant watch of pleat depth
  • Repair any parts that are incomplete, damaged or assembled improperly
  • Participate in High Performance Team (HPT) and Kaizen events.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing and machine operation experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of shop floor math, reading blueprints and the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to stand and/or move for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work overtime during the week and weekends as needed and scheduled.
