You as an Operations Director will: Play a key role in supporting the Texas Regional Manager and leadership team while driving initiatives to establish a strong presence in the Texas market. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that emphasizes caring for both our business and the safety of our team and community. Identify and secure construction projects across Central Texas. Effectively staff all Central Texas projects with dynamic & professional individuals that reflect the company's values. Assist the E stimating Manager and the Pre-construction Director with comprehensive bid reviews and tender closings, drawing on specific market and industry knowledge. Develop comprehensive project execution plans, including pre - construction , estimating, project scheduling, and risk mitigation strategies. Hold teams accountable for all aspects of project performance. Lead and mentor construction site leaders (Superintendents, Project Managers , etc ., to ensure decisions are made with safety, integrity, and sound business practices in mind. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners, embodying trust and fairness in every interaction. Is this the right role for you? Proven experience in managing medium and large construction projects in the Central Texas market. Strong leadership skills focused on team collaboration, business care, and safety. A passion for building and expanding EllisDon 's business in Texas, creating opportunities for all team members. A c ommitment to innovation and excellence in every project. Established relationships with Central Texas clients, subcontractors and trade partners. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field. A degree from a Texas University is a plus. 1 5 + years construction experience . A proven record of delivering Health Care and Higher Education projects is a plus.
