Flex Image Operator Job Description The Flex Image Operator is responsible for executing wet chemical tank and conveyor etching processes to meet customer specifications during the 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Responsibilities Execute wet chemical tank and conveyor etching processes per standard work instructions to meet customer specifications, such as concentration, temperature, and dwell time. Read, interpret, and apply special instructions or traveler notes for unique panel materials and custom etch depths. Measure critical panel dimensions and surface conditions using specialized gauges and tools to verify conformance. Accurately document measurements, process parameters, and trends on product control worksheets and traveler review sheets. Fixture and process panels through various wet chemical tanks and conveyors using frames, leaders, and backboards to ensure parts are properly aligned and prevent defects. Participate in cross-training for plating processes and support plating operations as needed. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and equipment in compliance with prescribed safety regulations, including proper rinsing of stations, disposal of chemical waste, and keeping aisles clear. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on etch equipment per the operator process control checklist. Complete daily tasks as directed by the production schedule with minimal supervision, consistently meeting or exceeding throughput targets. Communicate process feedback, equipment issues, or material concerns to the department Lead or Supervisor in a timely manner. Collaborate as a team member with peers and leadership to support production demands and continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED required. At least 1 year of experience in wet chemical etching, plating, or related manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to read written instructions clearly and write legibly for accurate documentation. Quality-driven mindset with keen attention to detail. Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn new processes. Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask under tight deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to help peers and adapt to changing production needs. Commitment to workplace safety and following all environmental, health, and safety protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production, cleanroom, assembly, machine operation, general labor, forklift operation, microscope usage, machine operating, packaging, general production, hand tool usage, blueprint reading, packing, inspection, medical device, and medical assembly.
