Project Engineer

RailWorks Corporation seeks Project Engineer in New York, NY, to plan, coordinate, and oversee project engineering activities to ensure they comply with company and contract requirements and support the overall construction schedule. Advise Project Manager of schedule conflicts and problems, and work with field supervision to resolve schedule conflicts. Provide technical support for construction efforts, including design interpretation, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, and constructability reviews. Perform detailed job estimates and assist in material procurement per required specifications. Perform quality checks and ensure the company's quality assurance program has been followed. Track, forecast, and document project cost and revenue and ensure quantities are claimed and recorded for billing purposes. Attend meetings with clients and subcontractors as needed. Requires master's degree in civil engineering or related and two years of construction industry engineering experience or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related and five years of construction industry engineering experience. Demonstrated ability to interpret technical instructions, read and comprehend plans and specifications, and comprehend and recognize safety standards and issues. Demonstrated experience with estimations. Ability to relocate to various unanticipated project sites every 1-2 years.
