Maintenance Supervisor Job Description The Maintenance Supervisor will assist and direct workers in the electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. This role involves diagnosing malfunctions, inspecting production equipment, and ensuring the efficient operation of machinery. A strong electrical background , knowledge of PLCs, industrial voltage maintenance, and the ability to manage maintenance programs are essential qualifications for this position. Responsibilities Assist and direct workers in diagnosing equipment malfunctions. Inspect all production equipment daily. Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and assign mechanic for repair. Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines. Operate various hand and power tools to perform repairs, welding, cutting, and part changes. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Discuss necessary repairs with Plant Manager for approval. Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards. Install equipment and electrical components and test for proper functioning. Observe mechanical devices and equipment to ensure proper functioning. Dismantle equipment to access and replace defective parts using hoists, cranes, and tools. Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation. Ensure safety guidelines are followed. Perform maintenance on loaders and forklifts. Supervise assigned workers, including interviewing, disciplinary actions, motivating, evaluating performance, and developing personnel. Keep attendance and production records, identify potential problems, and manage them appropriately. Essential Skills Electrical troubleshooting and maintenance. Mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic expertise. Preventive maintenance management. Supervision and repair skills. Safety and compliance knowledge. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or comparable training, education, or experience. Technical or vocational school certification or equivalent training or experience. Mechanical aptitude and ability. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, and carpentry preferred. Adequate computer skills for documentation. Physical ability to lift up to 65 lbs., stand, walk, sit, bend, climb, and use fall protection equipment. Ability to perform tasks in dusty, hot, and/or cold conditions. Why Work Here?
