Logistics Technician - Disaster Response & Equipment Management

Are you a skilled technician with expertise in generators, electrical, and mechanical systems, looking for a dynamic role in disaster logistics and response? We're seeking a dedicated individual to oversee day-to-day operations, including inventory, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of essential equipment. This pivotal position will ensure our equipment operates efficiently and safely, playing a direct role in our ability to meet expanding requirements in disaster response. The primary work location is Coconut Creek, Florida.

• High School Diploma.
• Valid Florida Driver's License and a clean driving record that meets insurance requirements.
• Ability to travel for product deliveries, up to 7 days at a time, including weekends.
• Ability to travel with short notice for disaster response, up to 30 days at a time.
• Ability to operate forklifts of different sizes and capacities, both indoors and outdoors.
• Physical ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, push, and pull.
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Proficiency in speaking and reading English.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow.
• Demonstrated experience as a technician or in a comparable role.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and generator systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

As a key member of our logistics team, you'll be responsible for ensuring our equipment is always ready for action. Your duties will include:

• Performing cleaning, maintenance, and repairs on generator, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Becoming proficient in deploying and operating all types of generators, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with equipment using various diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Repairing or replacing faulty components and systems as needed.
• Installing and configuring new equipment and systems.
• Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensuring complete compliance with all safety regulations and protocols .
• Providing technical support and training to staff.
• Staying current with industry developments and technologies .
• Performing other duties as necessary to support operations.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
