General Maintenance Roundsman (Handyman).
Midtown Manhattan 241 apartment, seven story HUD residential housing property is looking for a General Maintenance Handyman. Candidates should have a minimum of FIVE YEARS experience in professional NYC building maintenance. Uniforms are provided. Position is FULL TIME. Compensation based on experience and presentation at interview.
Responsibilities and Skills:
Knowledge of NYC HUD /building codes and inspections
Completing daily work orders in a timely manner
Prepped and renovate vacant units
Hybrid oil-gas boiler systems
Basic plumbing, electrical, flooring, framing and drywall knowledge
Basic hand tool use; such as drills, screw-guns, jigsaws, circular saws, tape measures, chop-saws, caulk-guns, snow blowers, dumpster dollies, power washers, generators, leaf blowers, bolt cutters, pneumatic nailers, etc.
Experience with elevator systems and operations
Landscaping and snow removal
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to follow instructions and to work independently or as part of a team
Attention to detail
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Bilingual, (English-Spanish) speaking candidates will be STRONGLY considered. Prefer candidate to have fast and easy commute to the Midtown West side of Manhattan. Must have strong tenant-service aptitude and skills. Looking for a self-starter type that can own work-orders and maintenance tasks.
