Construction Project Coordinator (Excavation Project)

At D&S Bulldozing we specializes in Demolition and Excavation projects in the lower mainland and are currently looking for a Construction Project Coordinator. As the Construction Project Coordinator your duties would be working closely with the Project Manager and assisting in all phases of assigned projects. The position is a mixture of both on site and office work. Our office is located in Port Coquitlam, BC. Having a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle is a MUST with no exceptions.

Responsibilities-

Project Coordination:
Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing projects
Track and manage project documentation (RFIs, change orders, daily reports, purchase orders)
Ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment
Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain project timelines
Assisting with the coordination of project activities in all phases (pre-construction, construction and post-construction close-out)
Provide supporting documentation for change orders, monthly invoicing, scheduling and job costing
Organizing project documentation, binders, filing and data entry
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
Daily site visits and site deliveries

Site Supervision:
Oversee daily site activities, ensuring work aligns with drawings, specifications, and safety regulations
Coordinate and manage site crews, subcontractors, and equipment
Identify and resolve site issues proactively with a solution-focused approach
Ensure compliance with construction safety codes and company policies

Communication & Reporting:
Serve as the primary on-site contact for foremen, operators, and project stakeholders
Provide regular progress reports to the Project Manager
Address and resolve any delays, safety concerns, or unforeseen project challenges

Qualifications & Skills:
Diligent, with solid attention to detail and for producing high quality work
Self-motivated to take the initiative to work independently to achieve results
Detail orientated and organized
Excellent interpersonal skills
Flexible and adaptable to calmly deal with changing timelines and pressure situations
Apply excellent coordination, prioritizing, and time management skills for meeting deadlines
Work in a fast paced environment
Be a self-starter as well as a team player
Excellent communication skills and fluent in English

Experience and Education:
Construction Experience is an asset
Min 1-3 years in a similar role
High school diploma or more
Strong computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook
