Detailer/Draftsman

Join MCM Construction, Inc, a statewide California bridge builder with a long track record of success. The company was founded in 1973 and has built 1000's of bridges throughout the state from small creek bridges to portions of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and multiple major freeway to freeway interchanges. We construct cast-in-place concrete structures of all types on roadway projects, including retaining walls and drainage structures in addition to bridges. We pride ourselves in completing our projects safely, profitably, and ahead of schedule.

The open position is in the engineering department at our Sacramento area main office.
A qualified candidate will have training in drafting and experience detailing concrete formwork.

Responsibilities include:
collaborate with the chief engineer, project managers, and superintendents
develop/prepare working drawings for concrete formwork
detail various aspects of reinforced concrete
determine concrete pour grades
take-off and order materials from the plans, formwork drawings, and falsework drawings
perform all the above in a manner that maximizes the overall success of the project

The successful candidate will proficient in the use of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word. Ability to draw by hand is also required.
