1st Shift Extrusion Dept Operator Job Description We are seeking skilled Production Operators for the 1st shift who will be trained to operate a variety of extrusion equipment. The role involves setting up machines based on production orders, maintaining production quality, obtaining samples for quality control, labeling, and packing finished products. Additional Information: Extrusion department: 1 Position: Schedule - 1C: 7am-3:30pm, OFF WED/THURS, $22.75/hr. (Trains on 1A, Off Fri/Sat, $22.50 for 3-4 months*) Should be flexible to work Overtime. Overtime is on a volunteer basis. Responsibilities Check operating controls and safety of equipment prior to operation. Obtain material for processing from inventory bins and report any damaged, defective, or missing material to the supervisor. Set up machines according to production orders. Monitor material quality for defects and adjust machine parameters as necessary. Label and pack finished products as they are produced, following work order instructions. Review work orders and drawings to resolve conflicts. Wear a respirator to perform machine setup. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies. Comply with OSHA safety standards while performing job duties. Notify supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy machine operating, general labor, carpentry, or construction. Good attendance record. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Teamwork-oriented. Fast learner with patience. Self-motivated with an interest in operating machinery. Additional Skills & Qualifications Some power tool and mechanical skills. Some Microsoft Office skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally. Good job tenure is essential. Why Work Here?
