Job DescriptionJob Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator. The Estimator is responsible for reviewing bid specifications and plans to ensure competitive and successful bids for both commercial and residential projects large and small. The Estimator must have strong communication skills and actively follow up with clients to ensure that the bid was received and is competitive. The Estimator must be willing to continue to follow up and work with clients to close the deal. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of exterior cladding installation and Planswift estimating software. This position requires the employee to work in office 5 days a week. It is NOT a work from home or hybrid position.
Responsibilities:
Review bid invites and construction documents and create estimatesPrepare proposals and submit bid packagesReview scopes of work and specsPrepare material take-offsPrepare submittalsSet up Schedule of ValuesObtain material quotes and create project specific material listsDevelop strong relationships with clients, vendors and subcontractors
Qualifications:
Construction degree or 5 years related experienceBasic understanding of project managementTake off experience, bonus if familiar with PlanswiftAttention to detailStrong communication and follow through skillsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast paced environmentStrong critical thinking skills and detail-orientedAbility to work with a teamExcellent problem solving skillsMust speak English fluently
