Slitter Operator 1 shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Job Description As a Slitter Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production line, ensuring the quality of paint cans as they progress through the process. Your responsibilities will include laying cardboard sheets for the cans, conducting basic quality inspections to identify any defects, and overseeing the automatic loading of cans onto pallets. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate paperwork to record the number of cans processed and noting any defects. Responsibilities Lay cardboard sheets for paint cans on the production line. Conduct basic quality inspections to identify defects in the cans. Ensure the correct number of cans are loaded onto pallets. Serve as the final quality checkpoint in the production line. Maintain accurate paperwork to track the number of cans processed and note defects. Essential Skills Quality inspection Production skills Stacking and palletizing Visual inspection Machine operation Standing for extended periods Basic reading and writing in English Inventory management Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to read and write in English Prior manufacturing experience Attention to detail Experience in quality inspection Basic data entry skills Ability to load and unload materials up to 20 lbs Why Work Here? Safety glasses and hearing protection are required due to the loud nature of the machinery. The work schedule is the first shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, Pennsylvania. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
