Job Summary
A Framer is responsible for assisting the carpentry foreman, manually securing, moving, assembling, and installing lumber products operating a variety of woodworking machines and tools to cut, shape, fasten, and install building materials associated with wood framing.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate with carpentry foremen daily
Comply with and enforce all company policies
Attend the training sessions for your position offered by the company
Maintain a positive company image with appropriate language, dress, and behavior
Fabrication and installation of basic components required in commercial carpentry framing
Keep the job site organized and clean
Provide your own hand tools and belt
Maintain and use your Personal Protective Equipment at all times
Participate in maintaining a safe job site
Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
Preferred GED or equivalent
Preferred proficiency in reading and writing English
Preferred knowledge of lumber and engineered wood products, wood framing anchors, and connections and how they are assembled and used in hand frame and panelized buildings.
