Job Description We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to oversee and design a wide variety of projects ranging from small to large in the multi-use, residential, commercial, and educational categories. The ideal candidate will manage and develop site designs from conception through final approval, including stormwater management, grading, erosion and sedimentation control, and site investigation, as well as researching state and local design standards. This role requires effective coordination and communication with clients, subcontractors, and contractors, and the ability to attend client meetings. Responsibilities
- Oversee and design projects across various categories such as multi-use, residential, commercial, and educational.
- Manage and develop site designs from conception through final approval.
- Implement stormwater management, grading, erosion, and sedimentation control.
- Conduct site investigations and research state and local design standards.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and contractors.
- Attend and participate in client meetings.
- 5+ years of experience in land development and site design.
- Project management experience with the ability to complete projects from start to finish.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and HEC-RAS.
- Strong understanding of NJDEP Flood Hazard Act Rules and permits, NJDEP Freshwater Wetlands Rules and permits.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- Ability to manage and design multiple concurrent projects.
- E.I.T. certification required.
- 7-10 years of experience in land development.
- Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Experience with drainage design and site development.
- Knowledge of ordinance review, site layout, grading, utility design, sewage planning, and Green Infrastructure stormwater management design.
