Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Fremont, CA for a Commercial Electrician (Superintendent). The role involves managing and overseeing electrical projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and guiding a team of electricians. Day-to-day tasks include scheduling, maintenance and repair duties, troubleshooting, and ensuring that electrical work is completed efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
Skills in Electricity, Electrical Work, and Electrical Engineering
8+ years Experience with Maintenance & Repair and Troubleshooting
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Ability to work on-site and manage multiple projects concurrently
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Experience in commercial electrical work is a plus
Relevant certifications and licenses in the electrical field
High-school diploma or GED required; trade-school certificate or AA/AS in Electrical Technology preferred.
Deep working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E practices.
Proficient in blueprint reading, conduit bending, wire pulling, terminations, and commissioning.
Advanced troubleshooting of high-voltage gear, PLCs, lighting-control systems, and Title 24 compliance.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, gear, and lighting in commercial buildings.
Read and interpret blueprints, construction docs, one-line diagrams, and PLC schematics; lay out conduit runs and terminations accordingly.
Troubleshoot high-voltage distribution, motor controls, lighting controls, Title 24 systems, and PLCs using meters, scopes, and diagnostic software.
Verify every task meets NEC, local code, and OSHA standards; document inspections and red-line drawings.
