General Duties**

This position is focused estimating labor and materials for our aerospace customers. This person is responsible for qualifying, quantifying, and completing quotations for work in this respective division. A working knowledge of metal forming and sheet metal fabrication is required. The ability to understand the cost structure of the company and produce quotations that reflect reasonable gross margins is key to success in this position.

**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**

The following reflects the "specific" duties and responsibilities for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be requested by the Supervisor.

- Communicate with Customers via phone, email or text. Maintain professional relationship with the Customer.

- Generate quotations based on customer request to include labor, material and outside processes.

- Reviews orders from customer for accuracy and quality requirements.

- Source "non-stocked" materials for jobs.

- Work with production staff on labor needs to keep due dates.

- Meet all RFQ reasonable deadlines.

- Participate in production meetings to communicate status, concerns, and accomplishments.

- Maintain a working knowledge of the Company Quality Requirements. Support other departments with any Quality requirements, audits and issues.

- Provide ideas to reduce unnecessary tasks to improve processes. Participate in lean events when needed.

- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

**Requirements: **

- Working knowledge of Sheet Metal manufacturing processes and procedures

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Proficient in blue print reading

- Proficient in the interpretation of all specifications.

- Knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers

- Proficient computer skills including use of Excel, Word, and other widely used programs

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

- Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
