Role: Project Manager - Resolution Funding & Collateral Readiness Location: Hybrid - Onsite Requirement in NYC for 2 to 3 days/week Engagement: Contract Assignment for 6 - 12 months (extendable) A leading global financial institution is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and execute key aspects of the "Funding in Resolution" workstream within its Treasury function. This role focuses on advancing the operational readiness of loan collateral and ensuring it meets regulatory requirements for mobilization in resolution funding scenarios, as outlined under Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP). The project aims to enhance the legal, operational, and technical infrastructure needed for collateral prepositioning with central banks. With the program transitioning into an advanced execution phase, this role will provide local leadership and technical expertise to ensure delivery of critical milestones and compliance with global regulatory expectations. Key Responsibilities: Collateral Due Diligence & Mobilization: Lead the technical execution of operational and legal due diligence for various collateral types (e.g., residential mortgages, commercial real estate, corporate loans), ensuring alignment with prepositioning standards for resolution funding. Project Planning & Execution: Own and manage the New York office's project plan, ensuring it is aligned with broader Treasury and RRP objectives. Ensure all regulatory requirements are met and fully documented, especially regarding collateral eligibility for funding. Cross-Functional Technical Coordination: Collaborate closely with teams across Treasury, Legal, Risk, Technology, and Operations to ensure the readiness and compliance of new collateral types. Facilitate technical discussions to ensure solutions are scalable and aligned with regulatory expectations. Regulatory Liaison & Reporting: Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring all necessary legal and technical requirements are tracked and fulfilled. Provide regular reporting on project health, compliance status, and milestone achievements. Governance & Risk Management: Maintain and manage RAID logs to track risks, actions, issues, and dependencies. Provide status reports and updates to senior stakeholders, highlighting any potential risks or delays. Technical Leadership: Lead efforts to resolve technical gaps in collateral mobilization, working with internal teams to develop solutions that streamline processes and improve system integration. Ensure that all processes adhere to regulatory frameworks and best practices. Delivery & Process Optimization: Drive project delivery with a focus on optimizing workflows, system integrations, and ensuring smooth operational execution. Take initiative to close any gaps in project deliverables and maintain rigorous oversight of all execution steps. Stakeholder Management: Engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations, providing updates, and ensuring alignment on project objectives. Ideal Candidate Profile: Experience: 8+ years of project or program delivery within global banking, with a focus on Treasury, Risk, or Regulatory Affairs. Experience in complex financial institutions or UK-headquartered global banks is highly preferred. Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of collateral management, liquidity management systems, and operational readiness for resolution funding. Knowledge of loan products such as residential mortgages, commercial real estate loans, and corporate loans in the context of regulatory and funding frameworks. Regulatory Knowledge: Expertise in Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) frameworks, including the technical requirements for funding in resolution. Familiarity with US regulatory bodies such as the Federal Reserve and FDIC is highly advantageous. Project Delivery: Proven track record in managing and delivering large-scale, technically complex projects. Ability to drive project execution across teams, managing resources, risks, and timelines effectively. Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity on requirements, timelines, and risks. Work Model Flexibility: Able to attend the office in Midtown Manhattan 2-3 days a week as part of a hybrid working model.
