Superintendent, Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join our preconstruction team. This position plays a key role in the development of accurate and competitive project budgets and detailed cost estimates for complex construction projects within the mission critical, medical, retail, and K12 education sectors. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and internal project teams to ensure estimates are well-researched, complete, and aligned with project goals. Key Responsibilities: Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction document-level estimates and budgets. Analyze drawings, specifications, and other project documents to understand scope and identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities. Develop and maintain detailed quantity takeoffs using digital takeoff software. Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for completeness and accuracy. Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing for reference in future estimates. Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize project budgets. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to clarify scope, schedule, and pricing impacts. Assist in preparing proposal deliverables and client presentations, including written narratives and breakdowns. Track estimate revisions and support cost control during preconstruction and early project phases. Stay current with industry trends, material pricing, and construction means and methods specific to mission critical (e.g., data centers), healthcare, retail, and educational facilities.
