Pipefitter - Chadwick

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout requirements.
• Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes using hand and power tools.
• Assemble and install a variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings.
• Inspect and test installed systems for leaks and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals such as welders, plumbers, and HVAC technicians.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; completion of a pipefitting apprenticeship program preferred.
• Proven experience as a pipefitter or in a similar role.
• Proficient in using pipefitting tools and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and work in various environments.

Work Environment:

• May work in confined spaces, at heights, or in varying weather conditions.
• Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Preferred Certifications:

• OSHA 10/30
• NCCER Pipefitting Certification
• Welding Certification (if applicable)
