This opportunity will require heavy travel via personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) and will require, at times, unpredictable hours. We have a strong commitment to the training and development of our staff.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:- Conduct field investigations of crash sites and vehicles related to incidents involving all types of vehicles and related mechanical equipment- Conduct laser scans through the use of drone and FARO scanner(s)- Conduct vehicular accident reconstruction and mechanical failure analysis in a support role- Perform computer and hand calculations, analysis and computer simulations- Review and draft technical reports- Relay technical findings and conclusions in layman's terms, both verbally and in writing- Maintain and gain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies- Regular and predictable physical presence at work- Ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback into job performancePosition Requirements:- B.S. in Engineering- Experience and certifications in vehicle maintenance and repair a plus- Vehicular knowledge, passion for and interest in vehicles is required- Two years of post-academic Accident Reconstruction or automotive-related work experience preferred- Recent engineering graduates will be considered- Demonstrated strong time management skills- NHTSA, Forensic, Racing or Vehicle Safety background is a plus- Experience with FARO technology a plus- Computer skills with spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software, AutoCAD, FARO and crash simulation software preferred- Exceptional critical thinking and interpersonal skills- Public speaking experience is a plus```{=html}```- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues- Strong written and oral communication skills- Ability to learn a new industry and obtain required certificationsPhysical Requirements:- Travel approximately 70% to/from sites, largely via vehicle (locally/regionally)- Ability to travel and drive to site locations in all conditions- Ability to maneuver in and around an accident site- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs- Ability to carry equipment to and from job sites- Ability to visually inspect job sites and relevant artifacts- Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required by the work siteBenefits:- Extensive forensic training- Medical coverage- Dental and vision coverage- 401(k) with company match- Paid vacation, sick days and holidays- Company-paid STD, LTD and life insurance- Tuition Reimbursement Program- Bonus Program*SEA places a strong value and priority on diversity, equity and inclusion across the company.
