Master Industrial Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Master Industrial Electrician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in a manufacturing setting. This role involves performing routine preventive maintenance and supporting equipment modifications for process changes and new models, ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot problems to repair and perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment. Maintain and update all process documentation. Support equipment modifications for process changes, new models, and expansion needs. Follow all safety procedures strictly, including OSHA regulations. Troubleshoot and repair various mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment systems. Install, program, calibrate, and monitor Variable Frequency Drives, instruments, and systems. Monitor PLC Processor operations and act as directed or instructed. Support equipment and operations necessary for Safety and Environmental regulations. Ensure equipment is in a safe working condition and utilize the Lock-Out Tag-Out program. Essential Skills Active master electrician certification. Proficiency in using test equipment such as millimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, and high voltage proximity testers. Knowledge of grounding and shielding requirements. Experience with crane drives and controls. Understanding of equipment lockout, tagout requirements. Knowledge of Electrical Code NEC and NFPA. Expertise in high voltage switchgear. Understanding of transformers design, purpose, and application. Knowledge of AC and DC motor controls. Ability to troubleshoot all phases of electrical circuitry. Experience working with PLC logic and programs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in manufacturing settings. Skills in troubleshooting machinery, electrical, conduit, industrial wiring, and blueprint reading. Proficiency in hydraulics, installation, and repair. Experience in PLC troubleshooting, wire pulling, conduit bending, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance. Why Work Here? The plant operates on a swing shift schedule, with production weeks running from 6pm to 6am and non-production weeks from 6am to 2pm. Flexibility with rotating hours is required.
