At Jaeger and Ernst we have been crafting cabinetry, millwork, and fine furniture for over 50 years. Our formula is simple- we use premium materials and premium joinery to create a product we stand behind.
We are looking for experienced cabinetmakers who are proud of the quality of their work. Who are, or want to become, artisans with the knowledge to move from one design to another and still work efficiently to create well-crafted cabinetry.
Because of our depth of ability, we produce a wide range of styles. We are not assembling parts but crafting from raw lumber. Our doors are built with true mortise and tenon joints (not cope and stick). We turn legs, carve, dovetail, pocket screw, and work on the shaper daily. If you dont have experience in an area, we will teach you.
Unlike most shops, you wont get stuck doing the same thing every day. We want our cabinetmakers to work on every component of construction and work towards mastery.
We run a shop that is team-oriented and drama-free. You will fit in if you are passionate about woodworking, comfortable working on a team, and eager to grow in your knowledge no matter your level of experience.
Benefits include health/dental/vision, retirement matching, PTO and paid holidays. Wages are based on skill, experience, and efficiency. There is potential for overtime and travel pay as we sometimes install outside of our local market.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in cabinetmaking or woodworking
- Experience working on a team to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated experience reading plans and creating cutlists
- Physically able to carry up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, stooping, and kneeling
Duties & Responsibilities

- Utilize hand tools, including chisel, plane, and carving tools
- Install finish hardware
- Install cabinetry in both newly built and historic homes
- Adjust hours based on shop operating hours- the shop is not climate-controlled and we often adjust hours to accommodate
