GRADING Foreman Civil Const. Co.

Established family owned Civil Site Construction Company offering a Site Grading Foreman position.

Requires minimum 5 yrs. experience.

Bilingual / english / spanish a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
General oversight of site grading for earthwork, mass excavation, concrete, asphalt, underground utilities / infrastructure jobs.

Directly supervise laborers, subcontractors and vendors on the job site.

Train employees; plan, assign and direct work.

Committed to safety, quality, costs and schedules.

Must be self motivated, ethical and trustworthy.
Requires excellent customer care and the ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal, with Supervisors, Project Managers, Owners and Subcontractors, as needed.

Develop and maintain respect and harmony with all employees and management.

Thorough knowledge of civil site grading and general construction industry.

Highly organized with the ability to handle a multitude of projects simultaneously.

Must have problem solving, prioritizing abilities and interpersonal skills.

Ability to adhere to time deadlines and work under pressure.

Ability to execute tasks in an efficient manner without sacrificing quality.

Ability to properly delegate and follow-up on tasks with a pleasant and approachable demeanor.

Valid drivers license.
Company vehicle may be provided.

Working knowledge of construction codes.

Blueprint/ plan reading to interpret architectural, structural and civil plans.

Able to operate a smartphone and have basic computer skills.

Attention to detail and quality control is a must.

Physical Requirements:
This position has both office and field responsibilities, which requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle, climb stairs/ladders, read plans, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and/or carry items in excess of 50 pounds.
