About being our Construction Inspector - Water / Wastewater
As our Construction Inspector, you will utilize your expertise to observe and document the construction of various roadway projects while adhering to safety practices, understanding client goals, establishing effective client relationships, and helping develop others on the team.

As our Construction Inspector - Water/Wastewater , you will utilize your expertise to observe and document the construction of various water/wastewater projects while adhering to safety practices, understanding client goals, establishing effective client relationships, and helping develop others on the team.
Responsibility Highlights for our Construction Inspector - Water / Wastewater
- Provide daily site inspections to monitor compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes
- Coordinate activities with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers, and regulatory agencies
- Prepare daily reports and verbal communication with supervising entities
- Review the Contractor's schedule progress
- Support project labor compliance efforts
- Coordinate and monitor sub-consultants required for construction management services
- Review and provide input on construction activities including potential change orders
- Maintain project records and manage project photographic records
Minimum Qualifications to be our Construction Inspector - Water / Wastewater
- 5+ years' experience in the construction of pipelines, pump stations, flow control facilities, treatment plants, and hydro-electric facilities
- Familiar with specifications for water/wastewater projects (AWWA, ASTM)
- Ability to travel between project sites and office facilities
- Ability to work on-site in a construction trailer or building where exposure to heights, ability to walk on an uneven surface, stand, climb ladders, crawl, stoop, enter confined spaces, tolerate heat, cold, dirt, odors, wastewater, chemicals, and other construction hazards that may exist

- Competitive compensation. Prevailing Wage for San Diego is $58.96/hour. General prevailing wage determination made by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to California Labor Code part 7, chapter 1, article 2, sections 1770, 1773 and 1773.1 for commercial building, highway, heavy construction and dredging projects.
