Develop and manage the quality design and build procedures that are needed for a high-performance PET instrument. Define scope of quality design problems in a structured way: define the engineering problem with principal investigators and identifying key issues to develop procedures to implement mechanical components into the system. Deliver a consolidated quality design: creating well-defined procedures and system options; choose the optimal architecture, leveraging existing technology, establishment of milestones to implement components. Ensure good and up to date documentation of the architecture and implementation; use methods & tools for a structured approach. Drive the accepted implementation of quality design; explain methods and convince other members of the team of the chosen approach. Perform validation and verification; work with other members of the team, including physicists and hardware engineers, to test the implementation of quality design procedures. Participate in the definition of System Requirements Specification, writes the functional requirement and specification for features, makes sure it is reviewed and approved. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and 5 to 7 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Mac OS X, iOS, Linux Experience with nuclear medicine imaging, PET technology Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems Experience with industry standards for mechanical design and control processes Experience with quality and regulatory product development of medical equipment Experience with engineering change management controls and writing QMS SOPs Team skills - will work with multi-disciplinary group of physicists, engineers, and physicians Reference Number: 40-29049 Salary Grade: 028 Employment Type: Exempt Org: RA-Radiology Special Requirements: Job Family: I-Technical/Professional Research
