Sheet Metal Mechanic - Commercial

Install, alter and repair sheet metal products and equipment ducts and hoods for HVAC systems utilizing blueprints, drawings and work orders.

Minimum job duties:
Layout, measure, mark dimensions and reference lines
Convert blueprints into shop drawings to be followed in the construction or assembly of sheet metal product
Fasten seams or joints together
Fabricate ducts for high-efficiency heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems to maximize the efficiency of systems
Finish parts using hacksaws or hand rotary and squaring shears
Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation
Fabricate parts or components
