About the Role
Job Title: Project Engineer, Mechanical
Job Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings/plans/schematics to integrate energy-efficient mechanical systems into building design.
- Analyze and improve engineering drawings/plans/schematics; using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM 360 to manipulate drawings and sketches producing 3D models of the design.
- Coordinate collaborative effort with outside engineering team and subcontractors on Building Information Model (BIM), including mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and fire suppression systems.
- Design and evaluate mechanical systems, operations, and processes to facilitate project builds
- Direct the installation, operation, maintenance, and/or repair of energy efficient equipment, such as heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) and water systems.
- Specify mechanical engineering system components and recommend and direct modification of plans or procedures to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Confer with engineering team to ensure mechanical components are implemented correctly and safely, including directing operating procedures, resolving system malfunctions, and providing mechanical/technical information.
- Utilize knowledge in mechanical engineering, design, and components inventory to estimate costs and submit bids for Crossland projects.
- Investigate equipment failures and/or difficulties to address faulty operation; recommend corrective action or modification to engineering plan and design.
- Ensure design testing and quality control plan is followed to determine functionality of engineered mechanical systems.
Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or directly related field
