Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for the design and development of electrical control panels and systems.

Responsibilities:

Reading electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings for control systemsDesign electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings for control systemsInterface with the customer to discuss project scope, system functionality, and user requirementsSpec in components and build out a Bill of Materials to meet customer project requirementsEstimate time for engineering, design, BOM development, and creation of a working set of prints for quoting purposesCreate electrical prints for electrical enclosures and/or automation systems in AutoCAD or SolidWorks ElectricalOversee the construction, including assembly, wiring, and testing of UL 508A control panels to print as designedProgram parameters for VFDs and write PLC programs for the control of automation systemsUpload parameters or programs into newly built systemsTest and ensure reliable operation of equipmentResearch and document projectsTrack project timelines to complete tasks on schedule

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or 7 years of equivalent experience requiredPrevious experience in industrial automation, electrical controls, manufacturing, or other related fieldsKnowledge of and experience programming to IEC Standard and working with Mitsubishi and Allen Bradley PLCs preferredExperience working with VFDs, HMIs, servos, robots, and other industrial instrumentationStrong working knowledge with electrical schematics and can demonstrate ability to read, interpret, and draw electrical printsKnowledge of UL 508A standardsDeadline and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines at onceCompany DescriptionHPE Automation is a family owned and operated organization that offers automation solutions to our customers by representing industry leading manufacturers of industrial automation and robotic products.
