Job Description

Position Summary

The Parker Filtration Innovation Center is seeking to hire a Mechanical Technician who is responsible for performing tasks for development, testing, production, and equipment setup related to filtration products. This role assists with setup, operation, and cleaning of pleaters, adhesive dispensers, test stands, and other prototyping equipment and may conduct tests or experiments to identify necessary modifications in products, setups, or procedures. Job activities assigned by Lead Mechanical Technician and Product Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

Setup, operation, and cleaning of production and test equipment

Layout, fabrication and assembly of new or modified mechanical components or test fixtures.

Construction of components and/or assemblies of experimental or prototype models.

Product testing includes recording of test procedures and results.

Participation in special projects as required and identified by Lead Technician

Workspace organization and cleaning

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required

Experience with mechanical assembly

Experience in Mechanical troubleshooting

Demonstration of Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and Email

Experience communicating with team and customers at all levels, both written and verbally

Welding experience preferred

Physical Requirements

Contact with chemical hazards.

Machine noise less than 85dB.

May be required to wear special personal protective equipment (PPE), including a full face respirator

Lifting of objects up to 45 pounds.
