Sandblast Operator Job Description As a Sandblast Operator, you will perform essential paint preparation duties using air-powered sandblasting equipment, grinders, needle guns, and other hand or power tools to ensure surfaces are ready for painting. You will inspect each item, remove weld splatter, excess welds, and sharp edges, and mark any mis-welds or quality defects in trailers. Occasionally, you may operate a forklift to move materials around the shop. Responsibilities Perform paint preparation using sandblasting equipment and various tools.
