Akkodis is seeking a Construction Manager for a Contract job with a client in Houston, TX . Responsibilities include managing multiple construction projects from permitting through closeout and coordinating with vendors and local agencies to ensure timely, on-budget delivery. Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Construction Manager job responsibilities include: Manage end-to-end construction of small cell and fiber projects, including permitting, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout. Coordinate with vendors, engineers, and local/state agencies to ensure timely and compliant project execution. Oversee field operations, conducting site visits and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and construction standards. Track project progress and financials using tools like MS Excel, Smartsheet, and Power BI, ensuring accurate reporting and budget control. Develop and review construction bid packages, manage procurement, and monitor material delivery and inventory. Ensure accurate documentation and closeout packages, maintaining compliance with internal and client specifications. Desired Qualifications: High school diploma required; additional certifications or technical training in construction or telecommunications is a plus. Minimum of 3 years in telecommunications or wireless construction, specifically with small cell and fiber projects. Proficiency in project and financial tracking tools such as MS Excel, Smartsheet, and Power BI. Strong knowledge of small cell construction practices, including permitting, vendor management, and compliance with NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards.
