Mechanical/Electrical Engineer

Location: Columbia, MO

Salary: $68k - $160k + up to 30% annual bonus

Our client is a long-standing MEP consulting firm with over five decades of success delivering engineering design services for facilities in healthcare, aviation, municipal, and commercial sectors. They are currently seeking a versatile engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience to support multidisciplinary projects from their Columbia office.

What you'll be doing:

Lead MEP design efforts on building-focused projects from kickoff through closeout

Oversee both mechanical (HVAC) and electrical (power distribution) aspects as needed

Participate in site visits, client meetings, and project coordination sessions

Review, sign, and seal engineering drawings (PE required or in progress)

Collaborate with internal engineering and CAD teams

Maintain client relationships and ensure project quality and timelines are met

What you'll need:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

PE license or active pursuit of licensure (required for final sign-off)

Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities-focused MEP engineering

Strong foundation in both HVAC systems and building power infrastructure

CAD and/or Revit proficiency preferred

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Local candidates preferred; relocation considered for strong regional fits
