Job DescriptionJob Description

The Blackledge Group, Inc., an engineering, environmental and construction firm, is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent. The ideal construction professional will have experience performing the roles of Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, or Site Safety & Health Officer. To join the Blackledge Group's Construction Team, this candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience performing these roles for the US Federal Government.

Potential candidates must be experienced and technically proficient federal market construction professionals with a belief in teamwork for all projects and treating people with dignity and respect.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide daily on-site supervision of subcontractors.Coordinate field crews.Promote safety and quality achievement.Drive compliance with project schedules.Communicate daily status of current projects to company project managers to ensure all projects are timely and within the company standards.Oversee the implementation of project-specific construction plans (APP, QCP, EPP).Review plans and specifications to ensure requirements are met for each construction process.Conduct pre-final inspections/ establish a punch list if required/ ensure all deficiencies are corrected.Coordinate and conduct final inspections with government contracting and civil engineer personnel.

Education/Experience:

5 years minimum experience on construction projects for the US Federal Government (NAVFAC, USACE, Coast Guard, etc.).Construction experience is required.Must be knowledgeable with USACE EM-385-1 Construction and Occupational Safety and Health Standards.Knowledge of construction i.e. prints, plans, procedures, scheduling, and testing.US Citizenship, ability to gain security access and pass a drug test.Ability to pass any additional background checks that may be required for access to the site.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

Excellent organizational, supervisory, communication, collaboration, and analytical skillsStrong computer skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)OSHA 30 HR certification and ARC First Responder Course completionUSACE Certified Quality Manager certificationMust be able to maneuver around at various construction sites which may include climbing ladders, and stairs, walking on roofs, and walking on uneven and/or slippery terrain.May require travel- both by flying or driving.Must be able to visually inspect work projects at project sites and compare them to specifications.Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasmAbilities to work independently, manage time wisely and prioritize tasks.Company DescriptionThe Blackledge Group, Inc., is an engineering, environmental, and construction firm.
