As a result, we are seeking a highly motivated Airport Electrical Engineer to join our Aviation group. This position will be based out of the state of New Jersey and will play a crucial role in the planning and design of airport-related projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing electrical and lighting systems for airport facilities and buildings
- Developing probable construction cost estimates for projects
- Analyzing and preparing reports, specifications, plans, schedules, permits, and designs for airfield lighting and signage projects
- Developing and reviewing probable construction costs
- Providing construction administration and site visits
- Working closely with clients, partners and internal staff to achieve on-time and quality deliverables
- Providing construction administration services and site visits related to electrical systems
- Other tasks as assigned.
A valid driver's license and travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have the following background:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college or university
- At least 6 years of relevant electrical experience
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all the following:
- PE license is preferred
- Designing airport lighting systems and associated controls to FAA standards
- Designing electrical systems for airport building, electrical vaults, parking facilities and other general electrical designs at an airport to FAA standards
- Project management of AIP funded projects
- Preparing construction document drawings in AutoCAD and Revit
- Power design and analysis software (EasyPower and/or SKM Power Tools)
- Lighting calculations software (AGi32)
- Coordinating the preparation of construction document drawings and specifications
- Providing construction administration services and site visits related to electrical systems

Salary Range: $103,000 to $130,000 – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
