Job Description Job Title: Construction Framer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Construction Framer to join our crew. The Framer will be responsible for building the structural framework of residential and/or commercial buildings. This includes walls, floors, roofs, and other essential components according to blueprints and building plans. The ideal candidate will be skilled in measuring, cutting, and assembling lumber and other materials with precision and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans

• Measure, cut, and assemble lumber and other materials using hand and power tools

• Construct floor systems, walls, roof trusses, and framing components

• Install doors, windows, stairs, and blocking as part of framing process

• Ensure structures are level, plumb, and square

• Use framing hardware like joist hangers, clips, and fasteners correctly

• Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or lifts

• Follow OSHA safety standards and site safety rules

• Collaborate with site supervisors, general contractors, and other trades

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a framer or carpenter in residential or commercial construction

• Ability to accurately read and interpret plans and tape measurements

• Proficient in the use of framing tools (nail guns, saws, levels, squares)

• Strong physical condition and ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly

• Comfortable working in various weather conditions and at heights

• Reliable transportation to and from job sites

• OSHA certification preferred but not required

Work Environment:

• Outdoor job sites, sometimes in extreme weather conditions

• Physically demanding work including standing, lifting, and climbing

• Full-time with occasional overtime depending on project schedules
