Maintenance Mechanic

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Maintenance Mechanic with proven experience in the food manufacturing or processing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment critical to production. Knowledge of food safety standards and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) is essential. Responsibilities

• Maximize uptime utilizing expert knowledge and troubleshooting techniques with electrical systems including power distribution, motor controls, variable speed controllers, robotics, automated packaging machinery, process equipment including pumps, valves, meters and mixing equipment.
• Analyze equipment performance, troubleshoot to isolate the problem, determine (and perform) actions needed to restore the system to performance specifications.
• Lead the diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment issues, using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to enhance equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Identify and replace defective components, ensuring high standards of machinery operation.
• Participate as necessary in new projects to install or improve the safety and performance of existing and new equipment.
• Mentor and assist junior mechanics, fostering skill development and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience in welding/fabrication. May conduct welding (stick, MIG, TIG) and operate machine tools (lathe, Bridgeport, drill press) as needed.
