Job Description:

Maintenance Mechanics 2 perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. They run diagnostic tests to check system performance and use hand and power tools to install new systems or replace faulty parts. MM-2 also installs, maintains, repairs, and changes over plant equipment (processing, packaging, or support) to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

Pay Range: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Shift: Inquire about shift availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Perform regular and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.

-Complete efficient changeovers and emergency repairs as needed.

-Troubleshoot issues using visual, audio, and diagnostic checks.

-Install, align, calibrate, and rebuild machine parts as required.

-Use power and hand tools to repair or replace faulty components.

-Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.

-Submit and complete work orders using the Proteus System.

-Follow all safety protocols including lockout/tagout, confined space, and hot work permits.

-Recommend and support equipment upgrades and improvements.

-Maintain compliance with GMPs, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

-Communicate breakdowns and safety concerns to supervisors and the EHS team.

-Continuously develop skills in response to new technologies and equipment.

Job Requirements:

-High school diploma, GED, Trade or Vocational School education preferred.

-Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic - 1 or similar role (3 - 5 years preferred).

-Previous experience in industrial manufacturing, electrician role (2 - 5 years preferred).

-Practical mind, mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.

-Working/ Hands on Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical systems.

-Ability to stand for long hours (+ > 8) and lift heavy loads (+>50lbs.) in changeable environmental settings.

-Intermediate to advanced computer skills.

-Above average problem-solving and organizational skills.

-Ability to make quick decisions to avoid downtime.

-Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Bonus Eligibility:
