Summary: Seeking a Design Engineer specialized in hydraulics with experience in manufacturing or heavy equipment industry to develop new products and expand current product lines.

Requirements:

  • 4-year Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • 2-3 years design experience in manufacturing or heavy equipment industry
  • Intermediate understanding of computer-aided design systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Intermediate understanding of NX CAD
  • Intermediate understanding of dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Intermediate mathematic skills

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new products or expand current product line based on assignments from management or Project Engineering Manager
  • Perform design and development studies to determine best approach for projects
  • Create basic layouts and designs, referring to Designers and Detailers for completion
  • Follow engineering guidelines and standards for new designs
  • Utilize existing components to reduce cost and risk on projects
  • Make calculations to ensure soundness and safety of designs
  • Select materials, heat treatment, surface treatment, and vendor components as necessary
  • Keep management informed of project progress; initiate design reviews as needed
  • Maintain permanent records including design calculations, vendor information, performance evaluations
  • Assist with software preparation and documentation


Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
