Valve Mechanic**

**Job Description**

As a Valve Mechanic, you will be responsible for assembling pumps and valves that regulate water and gas systems for a diverse range of customers. You will work with hand tools and technical drawings to ensure that each unit meets the specific requirements of the customer. After assembly, you will test the functionality of the pumps and valves using air and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Additionally, you will safely prepare the valves for shipping by banding them to pallets, which may require the use of an overhead crane.

**Responsibilities**

+ Assemble pumps and valves according to customer specifications.

+ Use hand tools and drawings for accurate assembly.

+ Test assembled units for proper functionality using air.

+ Troubleshoot and correct any issues during testing.

+ Safely band valves to pallets for shipping.

+ Operate an overhead crane when necessary.

**Essential Skills**

+ 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience.

+ Proficiency in pump, valve, and assembly mechanics.

+ Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ 1 year of electrical skills preferred.

**Work Environment**

Work in a small, climate-controlled valve shop. Dress casually with jeans or shorts, a t-shirt, and steel-toe shoes. The typical shift is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, though currently starting at 7 AM and working until 6 PM due to high demand. Expect a busy but rewarding work setting.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewisville, Texas.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
