Cost Control Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Review work executed and invoices submitted by subcontractors with the Project Engineer and Superintendents, to verify what is to be submitted for payment application.
  • Help prepare the Subcontractor's Change Orders.
  • Supervision of subcontractors and service agreements, purchase orders and change orders, contract modifications, and estimation of billing-payments and cost impact to the project.
  • Keep track of quantities executed and quantities to be executed in all project activities
  • Help prepare information for quarterly job forecasting
  • Help maintain the cost monitoring system
  • Open cost codes and monitor that the costs are tracked properly.
  • Review quotations utilizing supplier information, cost standards, technical information from quality, manufacturing, engineering, and design.
  • Ensure that project charges are correctly represented for accounting's closing process.
  • Preparation of the forecast for the next 4 month billing cycle, including revenue, cost, and cash-flow projections.
  • Preparation and analysis of the following reports to ensure they accurately reflect the current project status: monthly cost report, weekly reports, project summary report, and weekly quantities.
  • Preparation of payment report to be submitted to the owner at the end of each month
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
  • Must possess a valid drivers license
  • Skilled in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Primavera P6 preferred
